Inherited Traits: Nina Katchadourian & Heidi Kumao

Upon entering the art gallery, my eyes fell directly towards the time-line. Nina Katchadourian's Genealogy of the Supermarket was a very interesting piece to look at. Seeing how all these foods that we see at our supermarkets interlink with each other made me think about how we are all somehow connected by food, an important resource humans need in order to live. Heidi Kumao also had very interesting pieces, one of which caught my eye. It was the Nightgown piece. She explained how it interested her because it shows the different stages in the little girl's life and all the while that she is growing, the nightgown stays the same.
